Development of projectile loom

The projectile loom is a loom that uses Projecitle gripper or projectile to introduce the weft into the shed. The projectile loom is suitable for wide width, low speed and high weft insertion. The weft insertion rate is up to 1100 m/min, and the P7200 Loom can reach 1200 m/min. It has strong adaptability to the variety of fabrics, can weave a variety of weft yarns and wide fabrics, and has low machine noise. There are series of projectile looms, PS,Tw11,PU,P7100,P7200;P7150;P7300 , with a working width of 220 cm~545 cm, which are divided into monochrome and multi-color, and can be used to weave pure and blended fabrics such as cotton, wool and chemical fibers. If equipped with dobby and jacquard opening mechanism, small and large pattern fabrics can be woven. The weft tension can be controlled to avoid the defects caused by tight and loose weft, and the fabric quality is excellent. In 1933, the German R. Rothman first proposed the projectile weft insertion. In 1934, the Swiss Sulzer company developed the projectile loom. In 1953, the Swiss Sulzer and Ruti companies first put it into industrial production.

Projectile looms have been extended to various industries such as cotton and wool, silk and hemp, towels, coarse materials, construction, Mesh screen, geotextile and industrial cloth.
